Romaine Morris, Councillor for the Mocho division in Clarendon
Councillor for the Mocho Division, Romaine Morris, is now representing the People's National Party after he crossed the floor Thursday during the monthly meeting of the Clarendon Municipal Corporation meeting.
Mr. Morris submitted his resignation to chairman of the corporation, Winston Maragh, at the meeting.
The former Jamaica Labour Party representative was welcomed by PNP councillors including Minority Leader Scean Barnswell.
Several supporters of Mr. Morris were in the chamber to witness the crossing, while others clad in green and orange gathered outside the building.
