Former premier of Monsterrat, Donaldson Romeo, yesterday announced that his National Progressive Movement had agreed to a merger with the People's Democratic Movement led by Opposition Leader Paul Lewis to contest the October 24 general election.
Mr Romeo, who served from 2014-19, said the merger will be led by Mr Lewis, and the decision to come together reflects their deep commitment towards unity of purpose, which they consider to be essential to taking the country forward.
The politicians will be joined by skilled entrepreneurs and businessmen who will support their initiative to form the next government.
