More than 100 UN employees killed in Israel-Hamas war

More than 100 United Nations employees have been killed since the Israel-Hamas war began in Gaza, making it the deadliest conflict ever for the UN in such a short period of time.

According to United Nations Palestinian Refugee Agency, some were killed queuing for bread and others died in their homes during Israel's devastating aerial and ground war against Hamas.

The global body said UN staff around the world will observe a minute of silence and flags will fly at half mast on Monday.

Israel blames Hamas for civilian deaths in Gaza, saying the group uses the population as human shields and hides weapons and equipment around hospitals, which have been hit by bombardments.
