The Mount St. Joseph Prep School in Mandeville needs eighty million dollars to rebuild and restore sections of the school which were destroyed by fire earlier this year.
The building, which was the old convent built in 1934, housed living quarters for staff, a library , 2 kindergarten classroom a and a computer room.
Approximately 500 students are on the register of the Manchester Road school.
The school now holds a number of classes in the auditorium.
Principal, Jem Stanley is appealing to the community to assist in raising the much needed funds.
Neil’s Auto in the parish has agreed to give the school one million dollars but there is a 79 million dollar shortfall.
