Elon Musk has criticised one of the signature policies of Donald Trump, marking a break from the US president who he helped to win re-election in 2024.
The policy in question is a major bill recently passed by the House of Representatives, which includes large tax cuts and increased defence spending.
Musk expressed disappointment, saying the bill contradicts his early efforts to help reduce government spending, as Trump's cost-cutting adviser - a role he has since stepped away from.
The bill now moves to the Senate for consideration.
