National Day of Prayer to be observed on Wednesday

Bishop Delford Davis from Power of Faith Ministries International

Wednesday will be observed as a National Day of Prayer for Jamaica.

The annual event, which is in its 20th year, will be held at the international headquarters of Power of Faith Ministries in Portmore, St. Catherine under the theme, 'Unite and Rebuild the Family with Love and Forgiveness'.

Bishop Delford Davis from Power of Faith Ministries International says the theme is especially pertinent for the nation after experiencing such a devastating disaster as Hurricane Melissa.

"We just want to let each other know that we are one Jamaican family, out of many one people. So Reunite and Build the Family with Love and Forgiveness goes beyond us old. It goes beyond individual families. It embraces us as a nation - 14 parishes, two major cities, many districts, towns, villages, communities. And we want you, my brothers and sisters, to join in if at all you can," he appealed.
