Netflix now doing business with Jamaica

Netflix, the world's leading internet subscription service for movies and television shows is now doing business in Jamaica.

Julian Robinson, State Minister in the Ministry of Technology, on Tuesday told Parliament that the American-based company has signed an outsourcing agreement with a local entity. Mr. Robinson made the disclosure during his contribution to the Sectoral Debate.

Mr. Robinson also disclosed that AT&T has placed Jamaica on an approved list of eight countries where it outsources some of its operations. The other countries are Canada, India, the Philippines, Columbia, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Mexico.
