NWA confirms significant road damage caused by recent rains

The National Works Agency is assessing the damage to roads during heavy rains which affected several parishes over the weekend. 
 
NWA Communication Manager Stephen Shaw revealed on Monday that a significant number of roads have been damaged.
 
Mr Shaw, speaking on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines, said the damage ranges from washed down silt, scoured surfaces, blocked drains, fallen trees and landslides.
 
He said a number of roadways in St Andrew, St Catherine and St Thomas have been reduced to single lane access.
