Acting NWC President Garth Jackson
The National Water Commission says information on water restrictions will be made public within the next two days.
The NWC on Wednesday warned residents to brace for possible water restrictions as the country is experiencing drought conditions.
Acting NWC President Garth Jackson says three wells have been reactivated in the Corporate Area to supply water to residents.
But he says the NWC will still look at water regulations to deal with declining inflows.
"Starting perhaps tomorrow, probably the following day, we will have to be looking at how we restrict the flows from the Mona facility. So we are actually finetuning the schedules now, but it's possibly going to be affected at nights - 6 at night [to] 6 in the morning. [It's] not definitive as yet, but we should have information out to our public in time for them to make the necessary preparations," he said Wednesday while speaking on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines.
