The Office of the Children's Advocate (OCA) has not yet completed its probe into the circumstances leading up to the death of an 11 year old student of Prickly Pole Primary and Infant school in St. Ann last Friday.
The OCA had hoped to submit an interim report on its findings on Tuesday; however, Children's Advocate, Diahann Gordon-Harrison, has revealed that while in the community and in neighbouring Alexandria, new information was brought to her team's attention.
"We are getting some good information , that should answer some questions that still remain, she said"
Akella Lewis died after collapsing on the school compound. The dispute surrounds whether she was headed for a political protest.
Gordon-Harrison said the post mortem to determine the cause of death has not yet been done.
"The police have done the paperwork , but it has not been processed as yet, as to when is the available date for the pathologist to conduct the examination," she said.
