The Office of Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management [ODPEM] is urging vulnerable persons not to wait too long to make their way to shelters as Hurricane Beryl approaches Jamaica.
Acting Director General of ODPEM, Richard Thompson, speaking Tuesday evening on Beyond the Headlines, stressed that shelter managers are in place and that there are sufficient supplies for those who go to the shelters.
He said the agency is putting all required measures in place to accommodate those who need to relocate.
