Paramount Trading Jamaica Limited is reporting a sharp increase in net profit for its 2026 financial year, despite disruptions caused by Hurricane Melissa.
The company says net profit rose to $99.1 million, compared with $26.1 million a year earlier.
Revenue remained relatively stable at $1.69 billion for the year ended May 31.
Revenue from construction and adhesives increased by 27 per cent, while manufacturing revenue grew by 17 per cent.
Paramount says it attained ISO 9001:2015 certification in June, strengthening its ability to pursue international partnerships, contract manufacturing and import substitution opportunities.
Chairman Radcliff Knibbs says the certification demonstrates the strength of the company's quality management systems and enhances its readiness to work with international partners.
