The official recount for St. Mary South Eastern has resumed at the Annotto Bay Infant and Primary School.
The People's National Party's Christopher Brown edged the Jamaica Labour Party's Norman Dunn by 11 votes.
Mr. Brown's supporters are hoping that the results will remain in the PNP column.
"Yeah man, Chris Brown cyah lose again... Is a solid thing. We more fi gain more right now than lose any more, even though you going get some weh dem seh spoil. But we intend fi get more still," said one supporter.
The proceedings were reportedly halted on Thursday to allow the returning officer to seek advice regarding the rejection of ballots after concerns were raised by Mr. Brown.
It was reported that two of the ballots cast in his favour were rejected.
