Phillip Paulwell, Leader of Opposition Business in the House of Representatives and Floyd Green, Leader of Government Business
A clash over the composition of parliamentary committees forced the suspension of the debate during Tuesday's sitting of the House of Representatives.
Leader of Government Business in the House Floyd Green announced the names of the members of the various committees and the respective chair persons.
The Public Accounts and the Public Administration & Appropriations Committees are the only committees chaired by the Opposition.
The announced chairmanships did not sit well with Leader of Opposition Business Phillip Paulwell.
Mr Green opted to put a halt to the debate in light of the views expressed by both sides.
