Construction is to begin on a perimeter fence at the Princess Margaret Hospital in St. Thomas.
This comes nearly four years after gunmen invaded the institution.
Dr. Fenton Ferguson, Minister of Health, will on Monday morning break ground for Phase One of the project.
Plans for the perimeter fence were announced shortly the gunmen entered the institution.
On July 31, 2009 thugs invaded the hospital leaving patients and staff traumatised.
They held-up nurses and warders and gained access to the main ward.
It was reported that the gunmen were searching for a male patient.
