The Westmoreland police are trying to determine the root cause of at least three deadly attacks in the parish over the last two days.
Three persons were killed in the shootings in Savanna-La-mar, Kings Valley and in Negril.
Two of the victims have been identified as 35 year-old Odane Wilson and 23 year-old Jamar Johnson.
It's reported that, about ten am, Thursday, Mr Wilson was carrying out repairs on a motorcycle at Dunbar River in Savanna La Mar when he was attacked and fatally shot by hoodlums. His attackers escaped on a motorcycle.
In the second attack, about 9:35pm at Kings Valley, Grange Hill, Mr Johnson left his home to visit a friend while driving a motorcycle. Sometime after, the police were alerted to explosions and shortly afterwards discovered Mr Johnson's body in bushes with a bullet wound to the head.
Earlier Thursday afternoon a 44 year-old man was driving his motorcycle in Morgan's Bridge when he was shot by men on a motorcycle. A passenger on his motorcycle escaped injury.
The injured man has been admitted to hospital.
The bloodletting in the parish Westmoreland continued Friday afternoon with the fatal shooting of an unidentified man in Negril.
About 5:30 pm, the man was shot while he was at a bar.
The incident happened in a section of the town known as Namprel Road.
It's reported that the man was shot by gunmen who drove up in a Toyota Axio motorcar, with its license plate taped over.
