Radio Jamaica News understands that the senior ranks of the Jamaica Constabulary Force have been boosted with the large number of police personnel being promoted ahead of Christmas.
Mr. Gary Francis and Mr. Dwight Powell have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police.
ACP Powell works out of the administration and support portfolio, while ACP Francis heads the Police Emergency Communications Centre.
It's further understood that at least 70 inspectors have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent.
Details of the exact number of police personnel promoted, including their assigned locations, should be made public by Police Commissioner Dr. Kevin Blake this weekend.
