Political parties prepared for election day

With 24 hours to go before the general election, the People's National Party (PNP) and the opposition Jamaica Labour Party (JLP)  are busy making final preparations for their supporters to head to the polls.

The PNP's Campaign Spokesman, Delano Franklyn says Wednesday will be spent preparing for election day.

"We must ensure that we are operating at 100 per cent and today is the day that we will ensure that we are operating at optimum levels on election day," he said.

The JLP's  Deputy General Secretary, Dr. Andrew Wheatley, says the party's preparations are going according to schedule.

"All of our workers are in place, all that is needed for a well managed election day is in place for all the constituencies to ensure that on the 25th as early as 6am, all our stations are well manned, our vehicles and our voters are ready to come out," Wheatley declared.
