Man shot

Investigators are trying to establish whether there is a link between the incident involving the police constable and the shooting of a man in the same area in Bog Walk on Thursday night.

It's reported that about 7:50 p.m., the 24-year-old victim was walking along the roadway in Jew Pen, when he was approached by gunmen who opened fire, hitting him several times to the upper body.

The wounded man contacted a family member who rushed to the scene and assisted him to hospital.
