A reggae symposium and art exhibition will be staged in Washington DC
on Monday.
Entitled "Salute to Reggae" the event at the Jamaican Embassy is in observance of February as Reggae month.
Among the features will be exhibits on reggae superstar Bob Marley, radio features including interviews with several reggae personalities, audio visual material from the Jamaica Information Service; inclusive of reggae pieces and highlights of activities in Jamaica to mark reggae month.
Time Magazine's award winning photographer David Burnett will showcase some of his unique photographs on Bob Marley.
He will also be signing his latest book "Soul Rebel" An Intimate Portrait of Bob Marley."
Jamaican artist, Richard Blackford will also display some of his latest work.
The event is being staged in collaboration with the JIS.
