Riu Hotels and Resorts, the Spain based company, has broken ground for its fifth all-inclusive hotel in Jamaica.

The 238-room, adults-only Riu Palace Jamaica is scheduled to open its doors in December 2013, next to the Riu Montego Bay.

Facilities will include two pools, five restaurants, a lobby bar and beach bar, free Wi-Fi throughout the property and 24-hour room service.

Guests will have access to the facilities at the Riu next door, including its theater with live shows every night, a sports bar, open 24 hours a day, a nightclub and the Renova Spa.

Riu's other resorts in Jamaica are located in Negril and Ocho Rios.
