RJRGLEANER Group announces management changes

Joseph M. Matalon will shortly be the new Chairman of the RJRGLEANER Communications Group.
 
He will take office on May 1, replacing Oliver Clarke who will demit office on April 30.
 
Mr. Clarke will continue as a director.
 
The announcement was made on Monday and coincides with other changes at the RJRGLEANER Group aimed at accelerating its strategic growth and expansion initiatives.
 
CEO Gary Allen announced that Chief Operating Officer Christopher Barnes is to focus primarily on strategic projects and initiatives to be vigourously pursued as the Group moves to diversify its media and communications business.
 
Mr. Barnes will remain Managing Director of GMCL while Garfield Grandison, who has returned from a leave of absence, will manage day to day activities of that business as General Manager.
 
The Group also announced that it is merging the management of its Radio and Television services into a single broadcast division.
 
Claire Grant will be General Manager of Radio and Television Jamaica. 
 
Dennis Howard, who was General Manager for Radio Services for the last two years, will relinquish the role following the completion of wide-ranging restructuring activities in the radio division and will resume his position as a director of Independent Radio Company.
 
Michael Henlin, who has been consulting on technology and engineering matters has been appointed Chief Technology Officer.
