Teams are now preparing to resume the search for the boy who was washed away during heavy rain in August Town, St. Andrew yesterday afternoon.
Nine year old Kyle Richards, a student of the Hope Valley Experimental School, was walking with an adult and two other children in Goldsmith Villa shortly after 3pm when tragedy struck
He fell into a gully which was flooded and was swept away.
There was a frantic search by residents and the police but he was not found.
Councillor for the Papine Division, Venesha Phillips, says the search will be widened this morning.
“So that we will have a better change….we are also going to be askign the marine police and the Habour View police to check for us. In the past, when we have had tragedy of this kind, the body was found in the Habour View area, close to the bridge,” she said.
