The agencies involved in the joint security operation in Cherry Tree Lane, Four Paths, Clarendon are appealing to residents to come forward with any information regarding the killing of eight people and the wounding of 11 others on Sunday.
A comprehensive joint security operation has been launched in the community, led by the Jamaica Constabulary Force in collaboration with the Jamaica Defence Force and the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency.
The operation is part of a coordinated effort to restore security and normality to the community and bring the perpetrators of Sunday's attack to justice.
Director of Communications at MOCA, Major Basil Jarrett, has appealed for the cooperation and support of the community and urges anyone with information related to the incident to share what they know, through any of the anonymous reporting mechanisms established, including Crime Stop at 311, the JDF Tip Line at 876-837-8888 or MOCA's anonymous Tip Line at (888) MOCA-TIP.
Major Jarrett stresses that all tips will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and any assistance could be vital in bringing those responsible to justice.
Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police Stephanie Lindsay, head of the JCF's Corporatate Communications Unit, said the joint operation is aimed at eliminating the perpetrators responsible for the attacks, preventing any potential reprisals within the community and restoring a sense of safety and security for all residents of Four Paths and the surrounding areas
She said the JCF is conducting intensive investigations while the JDF will be providing critical operational support to maintain a strong security presence in the area.
MOCA is contributing intelligence, investigative and cyber forensic support to ensure every possible lead is pursued and that justice is served.
SSP Lindsay said the security forces wish to reassure the public that every effort is being made to protect the community and prevent further violence.
Under the joint operations, a curfew has been in place since early Monday morning.
