The daughter of well known attorney-at-law and government Senator Tom Tavares Finson has been released from police custody after she was detained in a police dragnet on Wednesday morning.
Twenty-three year old Leah Tavares Finson was held when the police searched a house in which she was reportedly present.
Miss Taveres-Finson was released on Wednesday morning by the Half-Way-Tree Police.
“As you know police took her into custody this morning. They thought she may eb able to assist them in their investigations, she was prepared to give them her full cooperation and she has done so. I do not know that to what extent she has been able to assist them but she has cooperated and she has been released,” said
Miss Taveres-Finson’s attorney Jacqueline Samuels-Brown.
Police sources told our news team that Miss Taveres-Finson was being interviewed by the police in relation to the activities of the Dog Paw Gang operating in the Kintyre area.
One of the two males that were accosted along with Miss Taveres-Finson during an early morning operation in the Kintyre area was released some time after 8 o’clock Wednesday morning.
It is not clear if the other man has been released. All three were accosted at a house in Kintyre said to be occupied by Christopher Linton, otherwise called Dog Paw, reputed leader of the Dog Paw Gang.
The gang leader escaped capture in Wednesday morning’s operation.
