The Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ) has said it is facilitating remote working for some members of staff in response to the positive case of coronavirus in Jamaica.
The SAJ said a review of the policy will be conducted in another two weeks to determine its continuity.
It said member companies have also been encouraged to enable remote working for staff.
The SAJ said strategies are in place to ensure there is no disruption in the supply of goods and services.

Other members of the business community have started to encourage the remote operation of staff.
J Wray and Nephew on Wednesday issued a statement advising that operations at its Spanish Town Road facility have been suspended after it was confirmed that one of its contractors had been in close contact with the patient who tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday.
The contractor is now in quarantine and being monitored by the Ministry of Health.
The company said it is in dialogue with Government officials to assess the situation.
The company said all staff, who are able to work remotely, have been asked to do so.
