Detectives in St. Ann are searching for a man known to them, whom they believe can assist in their investigations following the recovery of two illegal firearms on Thursday.
One of the weapons was an imitation firearm.
Reports indicate that about 1:30 p.m., the police conducted a targeted raid at a house on Milford Road in Ocho Rios in search of guns and ammunition.
During the search, one Glock 40 pistol containing seven 10 millimetre calibre rounds, and a black and silver imitation firearm were found wrapped in clothing in a makeshift closet.
No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
