Thirty-one-year-old Jerome Hert a farmer of Waterford, Guy's Hill district, St. Catherine has been charged with rape and indecent assault, following an incident in the parish on Sunday, May 5.
Reports from the Spanish Town police are that at about 2:03 a.m., Hert was asked to accompany a female home after they attended a party.
While walking along the roadway, Hert allegedly lured her to a dark area where he sexually assaulted her.
A report was made and Hert was charged after being questioned.
His court date is being finalised.
