St. Catherine South Police report reduction in major crimes

 
The St. Catherine South Police are reporting a reduction in major crimes within the division so far this year compared with the similar period last year. 
 
The division has recorded a 30% dip in murders and a 28% reduction in shootings. 
 
Overall, the division has recorded a 16?cline in major crimes to date. 
 
Senior Superintendent Leighton Gray, Commanding Officer of the St. Catherine South Division, provided Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness with an update on the crime figures on Wednesday.
