Detectives in St. Elizabeth have charged a man for the murder of a resident of New Town earlier this month.
Kimeko George, otherwise called 'Shane Brown', a labourer of the same community, has been charged in connection with the killing of Basil Bruce on January 3.
The police have also charged the accused with possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and using a firearm to commit a felony.
Mr. George, 36, who had been listed as wanted in relation to the murder, later surrendered to the police.
It was reported that Mr. Bruce was at home about 10 p.m. when armed men invaded the premises and shot him.
