The New Market Police in St. Elizabeth are appealing to the driver of a white Nissan Tiida motorcar to turn himself in following a fatal accident on Wednesday on the Cheltenham main road.
The mishap resulted in the death of 40-year-old Carries Smith.
Miss Smith was walking home from church around 7:15 p.m. when she was struck by the car which then hit an embankment.
The driver fled the scene.
