Stars clash in Renegades win

Marlon Samuels left the field battered and blooded from a heated Melbourne Derby on Sunday in Australia's big bash 20/20 league.
Samuels top-edged a ball from Lasith Malinga into his face, and early reports suggest a serious eye injury, which could end his participation in the tournament. The Jamaican had earlier incited the anger of stars captain Shane Warne for holding back David Hussey from a possible second run in their innings of 146 for 9.
Warne Australian threw a ball hitting the Jamaican, who then released his bat in Warne's direction.

Despite losing Samuels, the Renegades went on to win the match by nine wickets, extending their lead atop the standings to four points above Perth Scorchers.
