Two students were shot and injured Tuesday afternoon on Great George Street in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland during a shootout involving gunmen.
Details on the students' conditions are not known.
RJR News was informed that one of them sustained bullet wounds to the face.
One of the students is from Belmont Academy and the other from Savanna-la-Mar High School.
It is reported that the students were on their way home about 1:15 p.m., when gunmen started trading bullets. The students were caught in the crossfire.
