Former Mayor of Kingston and MP Elect for Western Kingston Desmond McKenzie, has commented on three major tasks that he did not get to accomplish while serving as Mayor.
Mr Mckenzie thinks that while his tenure has been mostly successful, he is disappointed in these areas.
"Work on the May Pen Cemetary , the fact that we continue to see a decline in how we are treating persons living on the streets and the third disappointment that i have is that we have not been able to effetely deal with the mushrooming of illegal garages across the city"
He adds that some work was done with the Jamaica Social investment Fund, JSIF for the homeless, and he's urging the Government to let it continue.
"There is light at the end of the tunnel and I do hope the present administration will continue to ensure that we give some pride of place to persons who are less fortunate than ourselves who live on the streets of our city" said the former Mayor.
