The police in New Market, St. Elizabeth are searching for two men who carried out a robbery at a Chinese supermarket on Thursday afternoon.
It is reported that about 4:45 p.m., the two men, armed with guns, entered the supermarket in the new New Market Square and demanded money.
The proprietors complied after which the men fired several shots as they made good their escape in a waiting grey Toyota Axio motorcar.
This is the second robbery in New Market in three weeks as two men held up and robbed another Chinese store in the same area. The police are still investigating that matter.
