The St. Vincent & the Grenadines Teachers' Union and the Public Service Union have called for public sector workers to protest outside the Financial Complex against the government's decision to appeal last week's High Court decision in the vaccine mandate trial.
President of the Union, Oswald Robinson, urged members of the population to take part in the industrial action scheduled to begin at midday.
Following the court's ruling, the union advised members who were dismissed to return to work, but they were rejected.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves advised of his administration's intention to appeal the decision.
