British PM hails UK-EU deal as 'new era' in relations

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has hailed Monday's UK-EU deal as a new era in relations.

The wide-ranging deal covers food, fishing, defence and passport checks.

Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch accused the MP of taking the country backwards with the new deal.

British holidaymakers have been able to use e-gates in travelling around the EU through its unclear when those changes would come into effect.

It's also easier to trade across the EU-UK board of food and a new security pact to allow Britain to access EU funds for defence development.
