A 16-year-old student, who was held in connection with the stabbing of a 16-year-old tenth grade female student of the Clan Carthy High School on Wednesday, has been charged.
She has been charged with wounding with intent.
Her name has been withheld due to her age.
The incident reportedly took place shortly after midday in the vicinity of a popular fast food establishment downtown Kingston.
The student was reportedly attacked by a group of knife wielding female students who also attend the school.
The condition of the injured student is not known.
