Ten Jamaicans missing during boat trip from Bahamas to US

There's still no word on the whereabouts of  the ten Jamaican men who disappeared while on a boating trip from the Bahamas to the United States, more than a month ago.

A high ranking source in the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs last night told our news centre there was nothing new to report since a statement was issued on the matter on Friday.

Concerned family members have been trying to locate the men who left Jamaica for the Bahamas early March.

On March 9, the ten Jamaicans travelled from Freeport, Bahamas for a destination in Miami, Florida, and have not been seen or heard from since.

The Ministry says family members of  five of  the men have contacted it seeking assistance to locate them.

Assistance has been sought through the Jamaican Consulates in the Bahamas and Miami, as well as the local police.

So far, investigations have revealed no boating accident or the detention of  the men in these countries.
