Police have arrested three men in connection with the seizure of more than 500 sticks of dynamite in Bull Bay, St. Thomas on Monday.
This is the second largest cache of explosives confiscated in Bull Bay since April.
The explosives are believed to be part of an arsenal being accumulated by warring factions in the 10 and 11 Miles communities.
The seizure occurred around 11 a.m. It's supported that a police team from the St. Thomas Division carried out a raid under a bridge located in the 10 Miles, Bull Bay community.
During the search, six knitted bags were observed. Upon inspection, the bags were found to contain the explosives.
The bags were photographed by personnel from the St. Thomas Scenes of Crime Unit before being securely packaged, labelled and transported to the Institute of Forensic Science and Legal Medicine for forensic analysis.
