The Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA) says it will take approximately six months to repair three health centres in St. Elizabeth that were affected during Hurricane Beryl on July 3.

The roofs of Bellevue, Southfield and Newell health centres were blown off.

Regional Director for the SRHA, Michael Bent, says come Monday medical services will be offered at alternative locations. These are: Kinkaide Plaza, Diabetic Centre in Pedro Cross and Barbary Hall community centre.

In the meantime, Mr. Bent said normal operations have resumed at most medical facilities in the region. Despite facilities in Manchester still not having electricity, he said, operations are being powered by generators.
