A brother of the three siblings killed in Irwin Heights on Wednesday night
 
Three siblings were shot dead on Wednesday evening at their home in Irwin Heights, Montego Bay, St. James.
 
An 11-year-old girl and her 19-year-old twin brothers were killed by gunmen shortly after 7:30.
 
The deceased have been identified as Peta-Gaye Cook and Jevaughn and Jevaughnie Stewart.
 
Police investigators are trying to determine the motive for the attack.
 
It was reported that their mother left the house about 7 o'clock for a location nearby.
 
She heard explosions and returned to the house where she found her wounded children.
 
They were taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
 
The woman's one-year-old grandson, who was at the house, was not harmed.
 
A brother of the deceased told Radio Jamaica News that the family is puzzled by the incident. He said his brothers were not involved in criminal activities.
