The National Works Agency (NWA) has announced traffic restrictions for the intersection of Patrick Drive and Washington Boulevard in St. Andrew as part of pending rehabilitation works.
Effective Saturday, May 18, rehabilitative works will commence, which will target the section of roadway between Washington Boulevard and Conway Drive.
NWA's Manager of Communication and Customer Services, Stephen Shaw, says in the project's initial stages, no traffic movement will be allowed from Patrick Drive onto Washington Boulevard.
Motorists exiting the Patrick City roads onto Washington Boulevard may use Daytona Drive or Duhaney Drive.
Mr. Shaw states that regular traffic movements from Washington Boulevard onto Patrick Drive will be maintained as per the usual traffic signal cycle.
The scope of works will include drain cleaning, milling of the asphalt surface and resurfacing of 6000 square metres of roadway with asphaltic concrete.
The project will run for eight weeks.
Motorists are being advised to expect some delays and to use alternative routes where possible.
Caution signs and flag persons will be in place to guide vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Road users are being urged to obey the instructions of the flag persons and posted warning signs.
