TransJam takeover of new H2K leg postponed

There has been a change in the date for TransJamaica Highway to take over operations of the May Pen to Williamsfield leg of Highway 2000.

In a notice posted on Instagram, the company said the previously announced December 1 start date has been revised. A new date will be communicated once all arrangements are finalised.

TransJamaica Highway says heavy pre-operational work is now underway at the toll plazas as it prepares to assume management of the corridor in short order.

Motorists are being urged to slow down, observe the posted speed limits, and approach the toll plazas cautiously at 50 kilometres per hour or less.
