Effective today, September 1, travellers to Jamaica will be mandated to fill out the immigration form online.
The online form will replace the physical document issued to travellers by airlines.
Andrew Wynter, Chief Executive Officer of the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA), said passengers will be able to submit their application ahead of travel.
He said passengers can submit the form up to 30 days before they return to Jamaica.
"We are putting facilities in place at our airports and we are working closely with the airlines and other airport stakeholders to ensure that this is a seamless process," said Mr. Wynter, who noted that the aim is enhance ease of travel and processing of passengers.
"The online form, when they submit it, whether they are being processed by an officer or at a kiosk, the passenger declaration form will be there. So it will just be confirming them and that will certainly speed up the process in terms of them being admitted to the country," he added.
