The St. Elizabeth Police have charged two men for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act in relation to the seizure of a quantity of ganja on Sunday.
The charges of possession of, dealing in and trafficking of ganja were on Tuesday laid against 45-year-old Cameron Hutchinson and 54-year-old Vinroy Powell, both farmers of Comma Pen in the parish.
According to the police, sometime after midday on January 2, the driver of a motorcar was signalled to stop in Woods district, close to the Comma Pen area.
A smell emanating from the car reportedly aroused the suspicion of the police.
The car was searched and 15 pounds of ganja found in the trunk.
The occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and charged.
