Two policemen are still in hospital after they sustained injuries in separate mishaps on Tuesday and Monday.
Another policeman assigned to the St. Andrew Central Division, who was reportedly hit off his motorcycle on Tuesday, sustained minor injuries.
One of the policemen, Inspector Anthony White, who is assigned to the Bureau of Special Investigations, sustained a major gash to the head, on Monday, when chunks of concrete from a building fell on him.
Inspector White was crossing Orange Street when he was hit in the head.
Sergeant Raymond Wilson, Police Federation Chairman, provided an update on Inspector White's condition.
"The medical doctors have reported that they have been able to intervene before his injuries escalated to the point of being life threatening and for that, we are truly grateful. They say he is recovering well for the time being but (his injuries) may cause some effect down the road. (But for now), they are doing their assessment and treatment," he told RJR News.
Meanwhile, a policeman assigned to the Narcotics Division remains in serious condition, following Tuesday's three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Weymouth Drive, in St. Andrew.
According to Sergeant Wilson, the policeman was listed as unconscious.
Four other persons sustained injuries in the three-vehicle collision.
The crash occurred before 7:00 a.m. while the policeman was on his way to work.
In another incident, a police sergeant was hit from his bike during an attempt to apprehend a motorist in breach of the Road Traffic Act.
Sergeant Wilson said the Federation is receiving constant updates on the condition of the policemen, and stands ready to assist in securing additional healthcare if necessary.
