Two Haitian women have been detained following a targeted operation by the police on Thursday morning in Parotee, St. Elizabeth.
The police say about 11 a.m., they approached a property and observed a man running from a house and escaping in a swampy area.
The Haitian women who were in the house, were taken into custody.
The police also seized an illegal firearm, a 9mm Browning pistol, following a search of the property.
This is the third firearm to have been seized by the St. Elizabeth police over the last two weeks.
