The university student charged in connection with the death of two men along Washington Boulevard in St. Andrew, just over a week ago, was offered bail on Monday when he appeared in the Kingston & St. Andrew Parish Court.
Tor McIntosh, 22, was charged last week with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was offered bail in the sum of $3 million.
He's charged with the deaths of Mark Garrick, a 51-year-old businessman and Javan Rodney, a 37-year-old motor vehicle inspector attached to the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Transportation and Repair Division.
Both men were killed on September 28.
Investigators say sometime after 3 a.m., Mr. Garrick and Mr. Rodney were assisting a motorist who had just been involved in a motor vehicle collision, when they were hit by a Mitsubishi Pajero, driven by the 22-year-old student.
Mr. McIntosh, who is represented by King's Counsel Peter Champagnie, is to return to court on November 26.
As a condition of his bail, the judge imposed a curfew order and instructed that McIntosh is not allowed to drive a motor vehicle.
