Usain Bolt wins Manchester 150m race

Triple World record holder Usain Bolt added another world best to his name when he
dashed 14.35 seconds to win the 150 metre run at the BUPA great city games in Manchester, England on Sunday.

The sprinter erased the previous best of 14.99 set by Donovan Bailey in 1997.

Despite smashing the record, the time will not be classified as a world record
as Sunday's race was done over a straight 150 metres while Bailey competed on a turn.

Bolt, 22, was competing for the first time since being involved in a car crash last month.

But the Jamaican 100m and 200m world record holder showed no sign of injury,
cruising to victory in rain-soaked Manchester.

"It's my first major competition of the season so I was just happy to come out
and run injury-free and run a good time," Bolt said.

"I am not in the best of shape, I still have a lot of work to do. I have been on and off
in my training but I am getting there. I just want to put some hard work in."

Britain's Marlon Devonish finished a distant second in 15.07 seconds.

Devonish could only marvel at Bolt after being left trailing in Bolt's wake.
